HAXall Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Good Day to All!I have got a newcomer in my collection-1735 farthing. Can You ,please ,help me to grade and value it.I will be grateful for advice about how i can clean it.I was thinking about soaking it in soapy water or/and in olive oil...I am afraid that vinegar+salt or electrolysis will kill all the patina..is there any other way? Peckris Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I would say it is in Fine condition for wear, but there's some corrosion damage. A long (i.e. months) soak in olive oil might help, but it may not be recoverable. Value would somewhere between £5 and £10 in my estimation. But there's pretty good detail on it. Quote
