sarfix Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I have just found a large tray containing lots of bags of old shiilings and florins i wonder if they are worth anything to a collector ?shillings from 1947 to 1966 and florins from 1948 to 1965Any help and advice i get will be very appreciated Quote
declanwmagee Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 oh dear...hoicked out from circulation I shouldn't wonder, and with those denominations, probably in the '80s, meaning that they would have circulated for a long time. eBay is swamped with such stuff, day in day out. Not many so bulk bags though, so my advice would be to bung 'em on the Bay, 99p per bag, and see what you get. They will sell, but not for much. Watch the postage and don't end up out of pocket! Some dates can be worth from £15 - £40 in strictly mint condition, but if pulled from circulation they would only be worth scrap value. Quote
