marco28uk Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Hi everyone.I was wondering if anyone could help identifying this coin I have found.Looking through the net I think it could be an Edward IV Half groat (twopence) but wanted some expert help.I think it is Cantebury mint. Can anyone confirm and help me with its value and where would be the best place to sell? Thanks in advanceMark Quote

Mongo Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 You could try Clive at Historic Coinage, http://www.historiccoinage.com/aboutus.phpAlthough I suspect it may be easier, to wait and see if he spots this thread, before emailing Quote
Geordie582 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) Looks like a half groat of Archbishop Bourchier (Canterbury)S2025 though the knot below the bust is not clear. The mint mark is a "Y". Oh! sorry! Edward IV of course. I'm at odds with the current valuations, so I wont offer an opinion. Edited July 31, 2012 by Geordie582 Quote
