HAXall Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Hello to All,i have got another interesting penny. What do You think about this one.i want to buy it and i was wondering about true value of the coin. Quote
HAXall Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 Anybody help? :)i am desperate for advice! Quote
declanwmagee Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Looks like a decent enough coin from the bit of it we can see. Only decent enough though - not spectacular. I don't think the doubled date does anything for value though. I wouldn't pay extra for one.Of course, if you were trying to put together a collection containing nothing but doubled dates you might! Nothing to stop you doing that... Quote
Peter Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 If the picture is that bad and the obverse isn't shown...bells are ringing. Quote
HAXall Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 Thank You for respond!so,how do You think what price will be perfect for that coin? Quote
HAXall Posted May 29, 2012 Author Posted May 29, 2012 The picture is pretty nice and the other side is the same,i just took a photo of a notebook screen with this picture on it! Quote

That was, at the time, I think, the biggest mintage of any British coin. Quote

I agree with others, the double-strike appearance doesn't add anything to the value or desirability. Quote
