I think the grade is F and as a newbie here would like to know the value of this farthing please.

Hi and welcome to the forum, that certainly looks to be a good fine, although with a considerable edge bump at 12 o'clock. Should make about £5.50 plus post on ebay ;) ?

I'd say less than F - Britannia's body is worn almost flat. But I'd echo the welcome. :)

I think you are being a bit harsh there, the wear is to the drapery across the legs, part of the armour is still just barely visible, and the helmet detail is still pretty good (although this tends to be one of the last places to go). Shield design is worn but not excessively, this area I would argue wears quicker on the farthing than other denominations, bear in mind this is not one of those large frisbees you lot collect :D

I managed to find the coin on ebay (hence the cheeky, tongue in cheek comment above), and the Obverse still shows a fair amount of deep hair detail as would be expected on a fine example
