Hi folks my name is ollie today felt peckish and bought a star bar , got change and went on my way , got home 2nite dropped money out of pocket on sofa and happend to notice i have a 1971 2p with the queens head on both sides , ive checked it with another 1971 coin , and its same size everything , then i thought it might be two halfs of coin stuck together but you cant see a join under a mag glass the coin even weighs the same as i used my mrs digital kitchen scales , what have i got here folks as i havent a clue ive even tried google and cant find anything about it , what gets me if its real how come its been flying round the uk all this time to end up in my pocket ? many thanks for any help or info thanku ollie :)

Keep in mind that most modern trick coins are not joined at the rim, but on one of the faces, where one coin is shaved to fit into the reverse of another coin.

I's just a curio and quite a common one at that. Stick it on e-bay and see what you get for it. However, don't go on about rarity, mint error or anything like that as most people would hopefully see through it...
