Thanks RRIs it one of these? I understand that such coins are not always delivered with the word "copy" as shown. If it's the size of an old halfpenny in 22k gold it would weigh around 12g. RICHARD Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 No, I have seen these on E. Bay and I am sure that it is not the same, unfortunatly the coin is not in my hand and the size of that of an old halfpenny was a bit of a guess, it is thinner and smaller and I have been told it has hall marks around the rim. argentumandcoins Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Richard, I haven't got a clue who produced it but I would be suprised if it is solid gold. If you are thinking of buying it I wouldn't bother. The only gold worth buying is gold that is worth something as a coin rather than a piece of bullion. Look at buying a nice fractional guinea or something similar. Quote
RICHARD Posted March 14, 2011 Author Posted March 14, 2011 Thank you John.I have no interest in buying it, it was shown to me by a customer of mine who knew I had an interest in coins and thought I could ID it for him. RR Quote
