Guest linalbdrew Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Hi,My father used to collect coins and when he died they came to me as i also have an interest.I have a 12 sided 3d bit, George vi on one side, thistle 1937 on other, it is silver in colour. I have tried to find this on line in the past but no luck.Is it part of a maundy set? Does anyone have any information that would help. Thanks Quote

On the assumption it is a standard 3d but silver in colour, I would expect it to have been plated post issue. Quote

Someone earlier mentioned they had one in these forums, and I have one I picked up as part of an auction lot. Though to be strictly accurate, mine has been 'chromed' I think, rather than 'silvered'?
