I'm pretty sure its norman...maybe william I/II?

Not an expert on this, or anything else for that matter, but it may well be that you have a penny from the Norman era (1066-1154) there. It certainly looks to be the right kind of 'foot' to the cross. However, I think I might just be able to make out the remains of the design in the fields which could make it a penny of Henry II (1154-1189).

If I'm right, that would be worth about £75 in that condition.

To be certain, you'd need to take it in to a dealer, but then you already knew that.

Maybe someone else will have a more informed opinion, if they do, I'm thinking Spink 1337-1339 ?

I, for one, do not think that it is English. It looks to be similar to the 'Crusader-style' coins that were prevalent in France, so perhaps 13th/14th Century France.
