George 1937 Half penny error coin?

I have a George 1937 half penny error coin.

Whilst seraching the internet today without any luck of trying to find names of coins, metals etc, i came across a site that listed error coins and all the different type of errors that could be found on coins.

Could someone please try to explain a bit more about this coin (other than the poor condition)

I don't think that's an error. It looks like a normal coin that someone has squashed a bit, perhaps by leaving it on a railway line or something.....or in some kind of machine.

Oh the fabulously rare George VI hammered halfpenny !!! Well, there were certainly steamrollers around until the 1970s? 1980s? Looks like this one got royally rollered.

I was thinking 9.15 from Euston but the penny I have that's been on a railway line is a lot smoother.

So this is NOT an error coin but asyou have all described one thats probably been run over either by a steam train or the 9.15 out of Euston
