rolling Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I know this coin is in poor condition can but can anyone give a value? Also, is it a shilling please? Quote
Rob Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 The design is the same for both 6ds and 1/-s, so the diameter will tell you. Shillings are about 23mm, 6ds are 19mm. Value in that condition is melt - which at this moment is about £2 for a 1/- AND £1 for a 6d. Quote
Flash Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Hi - It is is a Shilling but I'm afraid it's silver value only on that at about £1.00 Quote

Rob Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Blimey if you can get £2.00 melt for a Shilling could you please pm me with details - thanksI have just used the silver content vs the current spot price. I don't think you could actually realise £2 because there are margins, commissions and wear to consider should it be sold, but it gives a ballpark figure. Quote
