Emperor Oli Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Hiho chaps!I found out a few days ago that my application and interview were successful and I'm now a prefect at my school! I think we start in a few days, when we get our badges. The prefects also get tie which differ from the normal ones but unfortunately, the company which makes them has gone bankrupt! The school has had to reorder from another company to get them I also got nominated for the position of Head Boy and I should know about that in a few days although there is very stiff competition - I think it would be unlikely that I would get it. That's all i wanted to say, oh, and I shall only use my power for good (most of the time ) Quote
Sylvester Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 wow your School has prefects? I didn't think they had those anymore, i don't think our school ever had them.Come to think of it we didn't get a uniform till i was in the fourth year. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 I remember finding old 'Prefect' badges in a cupboard in my old school. They had not been used since the 60's I think.(The 1960's Oli ) Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Back when you went to school via horse and cart Quote
Emperor Oli Posted May 20, 2004 Author Posted May 20, 2004 Read that again, HPJ, he said they hadn't been used since the sixties, it doens't mean he went to school then Quote
Sylvester Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 I think Chris went to school quite some time after the sixties! Quote
Geoff T Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 We had prefects at grammar school of course, but I was far too rebellious to be chosen as one. The Head Boy was simply bigger than everyone else and the Head Girl was I suspect the only girl to be guaranteed morally whiter than white. (Yes, we went co-ed in my 5th form.) Quote
william Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 I think they have them at the grammar school I am going to go to, but they don't have them at my primary school Quote
Master Jmd Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 they have them at my grammar school, but i have never seen/met a prefect or head boy/girl for some parculier reason Quote
Master Jmd Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 in yr. 10 , i think that people have to be in yr. 12 to be prefects at my school! Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 in yr. 10 , i think that people have to be in yr. 12 to be prefects at my school! I am in year 10 aswell and you have to be in yr.12 if you want to be a head girl or boy. Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 My impression of Numismatists is that they are very sensible and smart and have the best hobby known to man! Quote
Master Jmd Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 My impression of Numismatists is that they are very sensible and smart and have the best hobby known to man! ? why did you need to say that??? Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Because that is my opinion and I have reason to think that don't I? Quote
Emperor Oli Posted May 21, 2004 Author Posted May 21, 2004 Stop it, this was meant to be nice news, stop turning it nasty. Quote
