Master Jmd Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 where can modern maundy sets be purchased, i was thinking about getting a 2004 set, but i dont know where to look...can anyone help? Quote
Emperor Oli Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 Try Ebay or any coin dealers. You might as well spend your money on your specialist area instead though. Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 Maundy sets really don't change a great deal in value even after 100 years. As Oli said, you might as well spend your money on your specialised area. Quote

It doeswn't matter that it isn't his specialised area, if he wants one that's fine! I don't know where you can get one, I couldn't find any on ebay Quote
Emperor Oli Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 One wouldn't find one on Ebay at this time anyhow as the Maundy ceremoney (geddit) was only a few weeks ago (8th April?). The people who received the sets (Liverpool this year) probably won't part with them for a while. Go for a nice older one OR some of the Millenium sets crop up on Ebay once in a while with the 2000 Maundy set included. I'd go for one of those if I wanted modern maundy. Quote
william Posted May 8, 2004 Posted May 8, 2004 I only found older ones on ebay, no decimal stuff there... Quote
