It has no lustre, and i think that the reverse is the best side of the coin. I would grade it VF - EF, maybe even EF... Quote

Vic's hairbands are not showing up as well defined, which I take as one of the signs of VF in her young heads. Maybe it's just the pic.I also think a grading topic would be excellent in the non-members area. Getting people informed about what a good coin is really all about and demanding quality from dealers will also give Chris some company in the rarified air of honest grading. Quote

Edward Posted May 3, 2004 Posted May 3, 2004 Forum grading of a chosen coin is a great idea. More than just polling, I would like to hear why people think it's the grade it is, describing the features they are looking at and the amount of wear that distinguishes the grade they would assign. Quote

Is it about the right price for future reference.This coin also has the bar in H missingI have now rather a large collection so how do you go about insuring them ? Is it normal insurance or do you have to get them valued somewhere? Quote

Emperor Oli Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Coins are not covered on normal household contents insurance so you would have to insure them separately. The fees are atronomical, or so I've heard, therefore prevention would be the best form of protection. Putting the coins somewhere out of view (under the stairs, lockable desk drawers etc) but still in a good environment should be ok. Quote
