gingerling Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 HiCan anyone advise me of the value of this? Could it be repaired?many thanks Quote
Peter Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 That is a shame. It could be plugged but it would always be evident. Its hard to put a value on something which has been damaged (us collectors are a fussy lot)I've got a plugged 1699 farthing in my collection because it was really nice and I paid only a few £ for it....but I also have a lesser condition one that is just more worn. HistoricCoinage Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 As the portrait is half decent I'd be happy to take it off your hands for £20... Quote
gingerling Posted October 21, 2008 Author Posted October 21, 2008 As the portrait is half decent I'd be happy to take it off your hands for £20...A collector has offered me £90 due to the condition bar the hole Quote
HistoricCoinage Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 £90 is a lot, if this were to go to auction I could see it reaching £60. If I were you I'd accept the £90 offer! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 I've sold them like that without a hole for £100 before so £90 is pretty outrageous.I was going to say £20 too. Quote
