Or should i say curated, (i actually quite like it, cos the details are clearly visable, unlike the one i've got which was a hoard find and is very grubby).

It's so bright it could almost be a re-strike! Very pleasing to the eye although its collector value is somewhat limited

That's what i thought, it's a nice strike, pretty on centre, eye appealing, lots of detail, high grade (VF+) but cleaned :(

So i don't think it's worth the £76 asking price.

Actually looking in the book, it's class 5C, ABEL ON LVND,

In VF it's worth £180

So at £76 it's definately whizzed, and perhaps maybe just worth the money.

Whaduya think?

Considering the fact that there is no doubt that it has been cleaned, I would say that you paid a nice price for it.

i haven't actually bought it, i just saw it in passing.

I may buy it one day, if it's still there, but i'm not really that fussed at the minute. I'm currently waiting for more stuff coming my way shortly.

Yep, that's definITEly been cleaned, but I would say it's worth it for £76

It looks quite nice, i would pay around £50 - £70 though.

I'm not into hammered but I definately would not pay any more than £80 for it because the cleaning is so obvious.

Thanks guys, i'll bear it in mind. Hopefully it won't be going anywhere any time soon.

I don't think Sylvester's buying it for collector value though, more as eye candy

Correct again Oli, it's got nice eye appeal (not often i say that about a cleaned coin).

Get it in a proper protective coin envelope and that would make a nice pocket piece.
