Emperor Oli Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 Well it's a Cartwheel Penny from your measurements but if you could attach a photo, that would help us value it plus there's two varieties so we don't know which one you have. The £2 Bill of Rights also had two designs made, one for Scotland and one for England. We would need a picture for that too however the Englsih variety is worth £4 in uncirculated condition, which yours probably won't be, whilst the Scottish one is worth £8 in uncirculated condition. Pictures please! Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 The Cartwhell Penny sounds like it is in high grade because the edges are nice, however, you will have to attach a photo to let us determine a grade and therefore value it for you. Mind you, even the most worn coins sometimes have nice edges. Quote

Half Penny Jon Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Is Chris in England for his radio appearance? He hasn't been active lately. Quote
william Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Is Chris in England for his radio appearance? He hasn't been active lately. I think he might be, it says on the home page that he will be doing the radio broadcast on the 23rd April, which is tommorow Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 I won't be able to listen to it because I will be at school! Quote
william Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 So will I, but I'm too far north to pick it up anyway! Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 I don't think it will be broadcast in Essex anyway Quote
Emperor Oli Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Chris said he'd endeavour to get them on the site but we have no luck so far. Quote
william Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 Yes, you even replied to the topic! But it doesn't say anything about him putting it on the site on there! Quote
Emperor Oli Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 And it's a pity they don't broadcast it online yet.I'll ask if they intend doing that when I'm next there. Quote
william Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 And it's a pity they don't broadcast it online yet.I'll ask if they intend doing that when I'm next there. I thought by that he meant the BBC website, not the predecimal.com website?! Quote
Emperor Oli Posted April 23, 2004 Posted April 23, 2004 That means, by extension, predecmal.com Quote
william Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 That means, by extension, predecmal.com You don't mean predecImal.com by any chance do you? How do you know he will put it on this site though anyway?! Quote
Emperor Oli Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 Stop being pedantic - if it's on BBC, he'll port it to here for ease of download to those who want it instead of going to the BBC for it. Quote
william Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 you is walking on ice boy... Do you mean me or Oli?! Quote
Sylvester Posted April 24, 2004 Posted April 24, 2004 You William. Picking faults with Oli's spelling... Quote
