william Posted April 15, 2004 Author Posted April 15, 2004 Me too, is it possible to do things like this to your signature SUCCESFULLY?! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Doesn't work does it!I've tested it, and am satisfied it doesn't work. I'll put it on my list of things to do....Unless one of you wants do look on the internet for information on signature formatting not working using Invision Power board V1.1.2?http://www.invisionboard.com/ has searchable forums.Post in here if you find an answer and I'll try to implement it. Chris Perkins Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 Ah, that solves it, you can use normal HTML in your signature. At the time of writing, mine is:<font color="#000000"><b><font face="Arial" size="3">Chris Perkins</font><font face="Arial" size="2"><bR></font></b><font face="Arial" size="2">British coins, Collecting accessories, books, andthis great forum!</font></font><br><a href="http://www.predecimal.com"><font face="Arial" size="2" color="#0000FF"><b>www.predecimal.com</b></font></a></p> Quote
bob-e Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 (edited) Got it in one Chris.I tried the same thing on Ebay [add your description page] and found it worked. You can make up your own advert.Bob Edited April 17, 2004 by bob-e Quote
Sylvester Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 My signature's still not working! i dunno how to do all this html business so i'm not going to bother. The signatures used to work if i recall correctly. Quote
william Posted April 17, 2004 Author Posted April 17, 2004 Mine looks horrible now, can anyone tell me what you have to do with them to make them work?! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 Copy and paste my HTML bit above and change the name and wording etc....Have a fiddle with the size="2" numbers and look on a chart for the hex list of colours that take the 6 character format, like the #0000FF. Quote
Sylvester Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 can't be bothered... i still haven't updated the time either, since the clocks changed. Quote
Emperor Oli Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 I just went on Ebay as if I were going to sell an item and when one enters the description, one can convert it to HTML. Simple! Quote
bob-e Posted April 17, 2004 Posted April 17, 2004 Hey "Oli" that signature of yours is great.Like it . Definitely one to be remembered.BobYou lost a lot of blood......but we found most of it Quote

mint_mark Posted April 18, 2004 Posted April 18, 2004 I favour my signature That's very tasteful Master JMD... perhaps you could offer us some guidelines to do with signatures? Something about the size in relation to the length of the message being posted might be useful... Quote
william Posted April 18, 2004 Author Posted April 18, 2004 (edited) I favour my signature Why do you keep changing it then? Btw, does my signature look ok? Edited April 18, 2004 by william Quote
Emperor Oli Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Sorry to drag this up again but on some other message boards, they have pictures in their sigs. So I designed a pretty snazzy one this afternoon and got some image hosting but I can't get it to work in my signature line. I've tried inputting the URL then using the image tags but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 2, 2004 Posted May 2, 2004 Use an HTML editor and copy the finished text. I have never tried it, but William seems to have images. You have to make sure it's a jpg or gif and not too large. How big is the image? Quote
