I have changed it now cos it looked so bad, but it didn't change the font to bold and italic, it just put the B and the I in brackets round the font!!

Me too, is it possible to do things like this to your signature SUCCESFULLY?!

Doesn't work does it!

I've tested it, and am satisfied it doesn't work. I'll put it on my list of things to do....

Unless one of you wants do look on the internet for information on signature formatting not working using Invision Power board V1.1.2?

http://www.invisionboard.com/ has searchable forums.

Post in here if you find an answer and I'll try to implement it.

Ah, that solves it, you can use normal HTML in your signature. At the time of writing, mine is:

<font color="#000000"><b><font face="Arial" size="3">Chris Perkins</font><font face="Arial" size="2"><bR></font></b><font face="Arial" size="2">British coins, Collecting accessories, books, and

this great forum!</font></font><br>

<a href="http://www.predecimal.com"><font face="Arial" size="2" color="#0000FF"><b>www.predecimal.com</b></font></a></p>

Got it in one Chris.

I tried the same thing on Ebay [add your description page] and found it worked.

You can make up your own advert.

My signature's still not working! :(

i dunno how to do all this html business so i'm not going to bother.

The signatures used to work if i recall correctly.

Mine looks horrible now, can anyone tell me what you have to do with them to make them work?!

Copy and paste my HTML bit above and change the name and wording etc....Have a fiddle with the size="2" numbers and look on a chart for the hex list of colours that take the 6 character format, like the #0000FF.

can't be bothered... :D

i still haven't updated the time either, since the clocks changed.

I just went on Ebay as if I were going to sell an item and when one enters the description, one can convert it to HTML. Simple!

Hey "Oli" that signature of yours is great.

Like it . :D

Definitely one to be remembered.

Bob

You lost a lot of blood......but we found most of it

Oh I have many more up my sleeve; they shall peter out in the coming weeks!

I favour my signature :D

That's very tasteful Master JMD... perhaps you could offer us some guidelines to do with signatures? Something about the size in relation to the length of the message being posted might be useful...

Why do you keep changing it then? Btw, does my signature look ok?

Sorry to drag this up again but on some other message boards, they have pictures in their sigs. So I designed a pretty snazzy one this afternoon and got some image hosting but I can't get it to work in my signature line. I've tried inputting the URL then using the image tags but to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated!

Use an HTML editor and copy the finished text. I have never tried it, but William seems to have images. You have to make sure it's a jpg or gif and not too large. How big is the image?
