I would like to get it for my tanner set but don't have a Spinks catalog yet to be able to look up the rarity of these older coins. Chris Perkins Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 My book starts at 1797, so won't cover this.It's going to be worth a lot less than catalogue value with a hole. I'd imagine probably £5 or something like that, because it still is, no doubt, an attractive piece of old silver. Quote
Irishraider Posted May 13, 2007 Author Posted May 13, 2007 Thank you all for the help. I think I will get it, with postage it will come to approximately £5 ($10US). It will be the oldest one I have and I suppose I could always sell or give away in the future if I happen upon a better one. The oldest 6p I have to date is my 1834 William IV 6p and my 1887 Victoria 6p (w/coat of arms on reverse). Wish I could get my camera going better but am waiting to build me a copy stand in a couple weekends so I can get better pics. Quote

I didn't check that too close, I should do that more often. I did bid on it but didn't put but the minimum and if someone pops another 25 cents on it it is theirs to have.
