Sylvester Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 I'm thing of selling the example i have, i am led to believe like most Jersey coins it has a low mintage. But does anyone know how many were struck? Also what's it's catalogue value? (i don't want to over price or underprice it) Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 CYB2004 says £7.00 for the non proof coin. It doesn't state a mintage. Isn't there a link to a very good Jersey site in the forum somewhere?( I would have let this go in the British section, you can't really call Jersey non British) Quote

(that goes for Ireland too). Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 Well strictly speaking Northern Ireland is not British, it is part of the United Kingdom, but not part of Great Britain. So what about the Isle of Wight, isle of Sheppey and Scilly Isles etc? I think if you're going to call them British you can't exclude the Ch Islands. Quote

Emperor Oli Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 I believe the residents of the "Scilly Isles" don't like their archipelago to be called that; i heard they prefer "The Isles of Scilly" Quote
william Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 I believe the residents of the "Scilly Isles" don't like their archipelago to be called that; i heard they prefer "The Isles of Scilly" Lol. Why not? Quote
Emperor Oli Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Because the "Scilly isles" has connatations of stupidness, like the "Silly Isles". I guess the other doesn't.....as much! Quote
