Chris Perkins Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Yes an answer would be nice wouldn't it. I'm busy, someone with Krause or an Irish book out there? Quote
william Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Well, I have this book called British Coins Market Values 2002, and in the Irish section it deals with predecimal stuff, but it does say:DECIMAL COINAGE50p, 10p, 5p, 2p, 1p, 0.5pAll issues face value only.So that's the 50p dealt with, but I can't help you with the punt, sorry! Emperor Oli Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 i also have the millennium irish punt from (obviously) 2000I'm going to be a nit--pick here (again, yes william ) and say that the Millennium wasn't 2000, it was 2001 Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Very true, but we can't blame that on Master J.M.D. Quote
kuhli Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Yes an answer would be nice wouldn't it. I'm busy, someone with Krause or an Irish book out there? 2002 Krause lists the 50p (KM26) as $2.50 in UNC (no prices for lower grades), and the 1£ (KM31) as $7.50 in UNC (again, no prices for lower grades) Quote
Emperor Oli Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Very true, but we can't blame that on Master J.M.D.Of course. Many people have the Krause books - would you recommend buying one? The price seems a bit steep Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 6, 2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Yes, every serious world coin collector/dealer should have a couple (1801 - 1900 & 1901 - now), they are a bit expensive, but as far as I know they are the only decent world coin guide in English. The postage is not cheap either, they are like double phone book size! You can sometimes get better prices, I got mine at less than the RRP from Amazon.de, but of course that wouldn't be possible in the UK. I can also get them from Token publishing with a 25% discount, but the postage really eats that up. Quote
Master Jmd Posted April 7, 2004 Author Posted April 7, 2004 Yes an answer would be nice wouldn't it. I'm busy, someone with Krause or an Irish book out there? yet you stock this: Quote
Chris Perkins Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 But Kuhli has provided you with answers, I am honestly very busy and perhaps I don't have any in stock at the moment. Quote
