Raoul Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Found these while metal detecting, they are so badly worn that i can't make out the date or the bloke. Thanks for any help. Raoul Quote
Emperor Oli Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Ok I don't have my Spinks book with me (as I'm at W.E) but off the top of my head I'd say top-right is a George IV Penny and the bottom is a Half-Crown. I can't make out the top one because I've got this anti-glare thing on my screen and it dims everything. Quote
william Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Yeah, i would agree with that Oli, but i really cannot identify the top left one (it's much too worn). Can you give us the diameter of those three coins, please? Quote
Geoff T Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 The one a the bottom is definitely a half crown. The obverse has the second head and the reverse the second reverse, so it must be 1823 or later.Geoff Quote
