Chris Perkins Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 http://www.rotographic.co.uk/Funad.pdfThe lady is actually modern, despite the 1950's look (helped by the old photo kind of toning). And then I thought, what about a new title "Collector's Wives GB 2007". Collectors can submit pictures of glum looking wives. And readers can vote them into different grades or something! I'd love to do a concept book with nothing to do with collectables, but in a Rotographic style. I'm still thinking. Quote
Geordie582 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Sorry Chris! but the link doesn't work for me!?? Quote
Geordie582 Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 That's better! No I hadn't thought of "save as". Next time. Mind you, having seen the pic, I'm not too sure viewing was such a good idea I hope it's not one of the members mothers (or wife for that matter)! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 6, 2006 Author Posted May 6, 2006 I think she has a beautiful distinct face. Big eyes with lots of makeup, classic lipstick, high cheek bones. She does look pretty glum which doesn't do any favours. She has nothing to do with the forum or any of it's members but she is a real person that I am in contact with! Quote
Geordie582 Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I apologise to her! I wonder why the miserable countenance? Maybe because she was being photgraphed when she wasn't ready. I know my wife would be pretty miffed if I took a photograph without a couple of hours warning! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 I think it was posed. I have others where she looks more cheerful. Quote
Peter Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 I will call a spade a spade....that pose is too Myra Hindley. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 Yes, that had crossed my mind too actually! (but there's not much chance she would ever have heard of Myra Hindley)How about this one, she's almost smiling, except of course it has not a lot of comedy value.... Quote
Peter Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Thats much nicer. The other pose freaked me out.She would look great with a hairband, red lips and a 20's Charleston image (silk dresses, silk french knickers, sussies)A future Mrs Perkins? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted May 7, 2006 Author Posted May 7, 2006 This is strictly professional Peter! I was simply putting some ideas on paper and I sort of stumbled upon her. And I like the idea of using a female face somewhere...(probably the first ever inside a coin book! But why not, lets break new ground).I didn't want a 20's something beauty (like my own girlfriend ), I wanted a woman that looks womanly. Pretty, but also raw somehow. Someone that could be someone's mother/wife etc but with a bit extra, a woman that has made an effort and turned out alright! Perhaps nothing will come of it, but somehow I simply must get a female face into a coin book, even if it's just on a buried ad somewhere! Quote
Guest Guest Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 As long as she doesn't have a boob job, piercings or a tattoo......UGGGGGor has done too much exercise and looks like a scrawny chicken.Mrs Peter does me nicely...nite nite. Quote
Geordie582 Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Joan Crawford ish! Very nice. I'd suggest you keep her happy. Glum just doesn't suit her Quote
