Geordie582 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I'm off to Spain for a couple of weeks soon (Alcudia) and was wondering if there are any coins I should be looking out for? I don't collect European as a rule, but any oddity, rarety, or just 'talking point' is always added to my Sundry coins! Quote
Peter Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 Just boring Euro's for currency. However the Spanish do seem to like coin fairs etc. and they have plenty of attractive historical coins (incl hammered)I don't know about Majorca but I found some nice coins in Alicante. Its always worth a snoop in likely areas.I did look at one dealers Uk folders and they were full of £ coins (not even 1988's)I swiftly moved on and ended up buying some 19th Century 2 pesata's Quote
Geordie582 Posted February 16, 2006 Author Posted February 16, 2006 Spanish FindThis was the result of another visit to Spain, by accident. I came across a small market in "pueblo blanca" somewhere near Mireara. I know it's for use by Portugese Azores, but a good result, none the less! Quote
