Peter Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Chris let me know about the coins....I will be wanting CCGB 2006. Quote
Sylvester Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Noyce!Dunno if i need a 2006 edition though as i don't follow the modern stuff as a rule. But you will be pleased to note Chirs that i purchased the CC Roman Silver Coins book the other day.And i've now officially taken the plunge into Roman coinage, to supplement my medieval. Chris Perkins Posted October 24, 2005 Author Posted October 24, 2005 Did you! Where did you get it from? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 I've got the books! 1500 copies to me in Germany first. The rest will go to a warehouse in England. They look good, but annoyingly, the cover is still not as thick as I would have liked due to the printers using a new laminating firm. Still, the quality is much better than the last edition. Quote
Sylvester Posted October 25, 2005 Posted October 25, 2005 Did you! Where did you get it from? John Smith who runs the coin shop on the Shambles at York.I have also seen a few of them around elsewhere though. A stall in the York Antiques centre had a few, but they were the base metal coins. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted October 25, 2005 Author Posted October 25, 2005 Always good to hear. They must get them either from Barrington Smith in Leeds, or Vera Trinder in London. They both sell to collecting related shops. Quote

They both sell to collecting related shops. I haven't asked! I doubt they tell me anyhow... Of course what they don't know is i actually know the publisher! (Actually i think Mr Smith knows because we were talking about the catalogue, and i was explaining how much better it was!)... you can pay me later Quote
wybrit Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 I downloaded my copy. I like having that option since shipping books to the US is a killer. Quote
