I've just removed a long gay porno post with links to a gay website.

Syl, if you spot these before I do, can you make a note of the IP address (which appears in the left pane at the bottom of the post) and let me know it before deleting the message.

The last (85.21.86.202) originated in Russia, so I wrote an email to the Russian ISP complaining that this forum is frequented by youngsters and that the user on that IP had posted very inappropriate pornographic info. I got a confirmation email in English and Russian straight after.

I'll block all people using that particular Russian ISP.

Will do.

I have noticed heterosexual pornography links too in the past few weeks. Dunno if it's coming from the same location but i'll note the IP addys before i delete them.

But that simply wouldn't be fair, because then we'd have to leave the gay ones too for any gay forum members. They simply all must go, it's not the right place for that kind of thing.

I'm still uncomfortable with "Gay". 'A batchelor gay' was just happy not homosexual!

Presumably homosexuals will restore "gay" to its original meaning when heterosexuals do the same for queer, queen, puff, pansy, fairy, fruit, faggot... and all the other words they've appropriated from the language to abuse them with.

G :D

Homosexuals are endeavering to turn the word 'queer' from an insult into a term they can use themselves.

Although i don't know how successful that will be, i find it hard not to see it as derogatory, but then perhaps it's because i still see it by it's original definition. Going around calling yourself "odd", "strange" or "irregular" can't be good no?

You see this among disabled people too. Some of them are reclaiming "cripple" as a kind of raspberry to those PC types who want to stick labels on them without actually consulting them first. I've known a number of people who were, for example, deaf, who rejected the term "hearing impaired" because it had been imposed on them my people who weren't deaf themselves.

Far too many labels are imposed on minorities by majorities in the name of political correctness. The bottom line is that minorities have a right to call themselves what they want, not what others tell them they should call themselves. Hence the reclaiming of totally un-PC terms like "cripple", "queer" or "nigger" as a badge of honour.

Here in the states, they call each other "nigger", but if I call them that, I am a racist. I am obligated to call them African-Americans, which I damn well refuse to do. They are so proud of their African heritage, then tell me a little something about it. If you are a proud African-American, then speak a little African to me!! Tell me the capital of Africa!! Heck, most of them don't even know where Africa is on the map. I guess I should start demanding to be called a "European-American".

To me being PC is pathetic.

We just got a stray cat from a cats home....it was called coloured on the papers....yep... JET BLACK.

Nigger refers to Nigeria

Pakki refers to Pakistan

WOG refers to Western Oriental Gentleman.

People ought to liven up and get on with likewise sensible people and the rest can **** off.

I have friends and colleagues of all race's and beliefs....no gingers though :D

Oy!

Play nicely. :D

I'm like you Peter but the only social group i refuse to come to terms with are Chavs.

I agree with Geoff about the Political Correctness issue. By not using the term 'queer' i wasn't falling into the PC trap, it's not a term i'd use anyhow. Why? Well way before PC came along it was used as a derogatory term against homosexuals, since i've got nothing against homosexuals and i've hung round with gay people before why would i want to insult them? So i don't use it for that reason (personal preference), not because an evil doctrine from US college campuses says i cannot use the term. If i wanted to use it i would, make no mistake. I openly shun Political Correctness. Bloody do-gooders, like Mary Whitehouse, now she should have been shot. It's alright for her to watch any film she likes and to dictate what the rest of the British population can and cannot watch. People like her are what get up my nose... my advice to her if she wasn't dead is to go and get a life rather than trying to run and ruin everyone elses.

Sidenote everytime someone says PC i automatically think Pubically Challenged, our double entendre injoke, a derogatory way of referring to annoying children and teens (you know the really hard types, thugs that think they're the first one to think of forming a gang, the first one to think smoking's cool), and at the same time taking the mick out of PC.

Im a Scot, ... sorry Jock..... Sorry Haggis Hunter....... ahem!

Anyway i always found it funny when we used to call the "English" Sassenachs when in fact the word means Lowland Scot (which i am), long past are the days where i used to go hunting for haggis, far better from a butchers and the little sod could fairly move too!!

I live and work in England now and have many good friends who all say "see u Jimmy" i laugh it off as i think its funny........ i always hear of 1966 blah blah blah but i always remind folks down here of 1977 lmao  we took your goals!!

All light heated comments please and no i dont wear a kilt, i dont have ginger hair and my names no Hamish

I like haggis myself, but it has to be from the butchers, if it's from the supermarket then i'll not touch it, there's a major difference between the two.

My father sometimes goes to Scotland on work related business (or one of his colleagues does) and they always fetch a haggis back. :D

Mother in Law is a sweaty and we have proper Haggis at least once a year from a butcher's in Edinborough. :)

I've also been to a Burns night supper....a great night out...just love the pipes.

My ancesters were Scots - but I've tried to hid that for years!

The best haggis comes from a butcher in Ballater near Balmoral. It has to be good as HM the Q and her family shop there. Since I can't always get up there (not been invited to Balmoral for a few years now), I have to be content with the very good fish and game shop in Stockport. Even their vegetarian haggis is good.

Geoff (you can call me what you like but I am NOT a Scouser - wrong side of the Mersey)

Don't ask!!

Isn't it sheeps intestines with some kind of meat inside. As an Englander, I have no idea.

Out of the 27 years of my life, I've only been north of the border for about 3 hours of it.

Modern day Haggis is Condoms stuffed with deep fried Mars bars and Pizza.

The original Haggis is just a variation on the theme.....but not quite as healthy.

Yep that is correct....

The old haggis was made because in the old days (whenever they were) the Scots didn't like to waste food so all the parts of a sheep that were not consumed in the "normal" manner were all stuffed into the intestinal bag of the said sheep, cooked then eaten.

Basically all the sh1te thats left and the introduction of the deepfried mars bar etc goes to prove we like our food. B)

Remember us Scots are tight.... we invented copper wire!!!! 2 Scots fighting over a penny
