Chris Perkins Posted Friday at 06:21 PM Posted Friday at 06:21 PM The Standard Guide to Grading British Coins has been in print since 2009, initially as a colour hardback and then since 2014 as a black and white (greyscale) paperback. Some have criticised the black and white images over the years, and rightly so, but re-printing in colour was very costly and I always felt the price of the finished product was too high. But I always felt it deserved to be in colour again, so now, for the first time in about 13 years, a colour version of The Standard Guide to Grading British Coins is available. Price is £20.95 (£2 off the normal £22.95) and it can be pre-ordered here, with delivery later this month and free postage within the UK: https://coinpublications.com/product/the-standard-guide-to-grading-british-coins-colour/ 1 Quote
Peckris 2 Posted yesterday at 04:23 PM Posted yesterday at 04:23 PM My 2009 first edition has some colour pictures it's true, but the majority are black and white. Is this new edition all in colour, or is it the same as the 2009? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM Author Posted yesterday at 05:43 PM The 2009 should be colour throughout but some of the silver coins can certainly appear like greyscale. Give me a few sample page numbers and I'll compare. Quote

Chris Perkins Posted 48 minutes ago Author Posted 48 minutes ago I think even a couple of the brass threepences came out very washed out, almost greyscale like, but everything was colour and the content is the same for this new colour p/b version. Quote
wlewisiii Posted 19 minutes ago Posted 19 minutes ago I really need to buy a copy of this. Do you remember the postage to the US so I can budget it in? Quote
