Emperor Oli Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 You know how serious these yanks are...They are so funny once they get going in an argument that they're losing. On a site (whose URL i am not at liberty to disclose here), when somebody started a thread called 'America sucks' or some other intellectual title like that. Halfway through, a yank said they invented electricity (mm lets invent electricity, cars and computers. None of those things were invented/discovered by americans. And then they get all possessive and one said "You have no idea how much I want to blow your little f****** imperialist island to f****** hell you little english f*****..."Don't get me wrong, I've liked most of the americans who I have met but some of them are beyond belief, Quote
Sylvester Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 Don't get me wrong, I've liked most of the americans who I have met but some of them are beyond belief, they like their flag a bit too much for my liking...Far too patriotic... Quote
Geoff T Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 Brits, can you imagine having a 50p note! But we did! If someone gave you a 10/- note when I was a kid then you were rich. It was worth four half-crowns!Jumpers for goal-posts...Geoff Quote

Emperor Oli Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 they like their flag a bit too much for my liking...Far too patriotic...I'm all for patriotism but for a person, not a scrap of fabricIf someone gave you a 10/- note when I was a kid then you were rich. It was worth four half-crowns!My granny got two 10/- note from her parents every week at university. I think thats quite extravagant Quote
Sylvester Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 I'm all for patriotism but for a person, not a scrap of fabric It's that rub your nose in it patriotism i don't like. It's one thing to love your country, but it's quite another to constantly state your better than everyone else.I mean take these world disaster films they make, you know the kind, commet is going to hit the earth, it's going to hit New York and it's going to end the world.Very true it would, but all way through you just keep getting quotes like , 'the American people won't like it', 'the American's', 'God i love America', 'Ain't America wonderful', 'lets save the world' (by that they mean America), and they always want to kiss the President's ass in these films. And there's Stars and Stripes everywhere you look.Considering they are trying to prevent the end of the world, you'd think other nations might get mentioned and join in on the action, you know team work without the US doing it all themselves, where was United Nations throughout all this?If you ask me it's as if the rest of the world doesn't exist to them. Now if the commet was going to hit Beijing it wouldn't be the end of the world, because afterall it's not America, they ain't affected thus they ain't bothered. So i try to avoid all these very Partriotic films they produce, full of their own self importance... cos they make me feel sick. Emperor Oli Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 So i try to avoid all these very Partriotic films they produce, full of their own self importance... cos they make me feel sick.Haha, so true. I watched The Patriot last year. What a sack of crap that was. This old guy (Mel Gibson) and his two scrawny (untrained) kids were going around ambushing British convoys of soldiers. And in these battles of three vs. thirty, they always won. I was laughing at the innaccuracy of it all because in reality, they would have been shot to pieces before they'd even primed their weapons. Thirty highly trained British grenadiers against two pre-pubescent children and their politician Father - not rivals at all. And then we could go off on the "How America won WWII" tangent.... Quote
Emperor Oli Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 Hehehehe I found this on a x-ray website. The man "fell" onto the revolver and it got stuck in his rectum Quote
