1½ Pence - Victoria 1st portrait; Colonial issue

found amongst the hoard,...... could this be a die fault or a lamination issue?

Looks more like a lamination issue to me. I wonder if someone has tried to stick something in the gap out of curiosity, or might just be the pics. Those 3 halfpence are tiny.

Yes - definitely a lamination fault caused by gas bubble trapped in the original molten metal mix.

I have constant problems with gas bubbles. 🤔

Hi Chris. its as it was found, I will try another photo and see if this is clearer, 👍
