dmw2602 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Hi, Thanks for the help so far, I have another question about a 1892 Penny. Part of the top of the T in Victoria seems to be missing. Is it something to do with the dies? Is it quite common to find it? There doesn't seem to be any surrounding damage. Quote

It's where the hollow in the die, in this case the T, starts to fill with grease, so preventing the metal flowing into that area, when struck. A common occurrence. 1 Quote
