Wow, proving even with "Bits" (as I refer to them being) its possible to still identify a coin,

impressed that it can even be dated, Marlet was used for the years 1560-61,

The Bits I found at a Ascot boot fair, I seem to remember it was the 1990's and a golden Virginia tobacco tin with a mixture of the very old and 1950's I had the five Bits and in my open palm I asked How Much? "£1" many thanks,  as I walked away I heard a comment that someone was say "you've been robbed!" now in 2025....do you think so???

Its been fantastic after all the years being able to (with the generous help) Identify the coins and understand how interesting these small pieces of history that we are custodians of....in time they will become part of someone else's collection......but not for some to yet.  ........once again a big thank you for all of your time and input....I couldn't have gone this far with out the help....Rgds "H"
