coin addict Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 hi could anybody please tell me how much an 1819 crown in this condition would be worthfront: Quote
Emperor Oli Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Firstly, you have labelled them wrongly. The heads side is the front, or the obverse. The tails side (with the horse) is the back, or reverse.I'd grade that at somewhere below fine so exepct to pay around a tenner for it. There are varities with different edge lettering etc, but the value I have given is the most common. It's given a rarity rating of C2 in ESC, which is one rung up from the most common coins. Quote
Peter Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I would imagine you would have to pay a little bit more...they sell quite well on Ebay.It is a nice lump of silver and reverse isn't bad. Quote
jimmy_goodfella Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 agree peter i would give a tenner for that coin anytime.i could see it making double that, maybe even more.its still in a collectable grade, a nice filler till something better comes along. Quote
