coinkat Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Just came across a 1911 penny... Nothing to write home about in terms of the condition, but it does have an unusual die break that extends through the date. It is fairly dramatic... Anyone know of this as a variety? Quote
secret santa Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Don't recall seeing one but a die break shouldn't be enough to make it a particular variety (IMO) Quote

It's all dependent on whether there are several other examples. If only one, ironically it's simply a unique curio, as the 1946 die flaw penny would be if there was only one of it. Quote
