I have a 1897 1 penny coin!! I would like to know the least i can fetch for the coin!! Please advice!

In average circulated condition, it will be worth around £1. If you register, you can post a picture so we can assess the grade more accurately.

You can buy a sack of them on Ebay for about a £1 or so.

I just gave my youngest 50+ Vikkie pennies 1895-1901 to share at school (they're learning about Victorian times).

To really put a dampner on it....I paid £4 for an uncirculated one last year. :rolleyes:

I think we gave similar advice...... :D

The amount of times non collecting colleagues and friends have produced "their old coins" and I've

had to disappoint them.

The last time was a scanned copy of a battered 1906 6d which was sized against a 20p.

(guess which was worth the most...albeit close) :blink:
