Ricard on lvn so Ricard at London. Not sure of the class as i don't have my books to hand.

The joining of letters is called litigated. Its quite common on long cross coins. Your coins a class 5 coin. I cannot be more precise than that as i cannot make out the X in rex. Someone else may know the sub class. Clive is good with these. Short cross are more my thing. Nice finds by the way.

Thanks for your help. i have quite a few short cross, cut halves and quarters. will have to put them on another day as i struggle to i.d them.

No problem, i like a challenge ?. Providing you have enough to ID you can usually find out the moneyer , mint or monarch. All 3 if your really lucky !
