Shannara McDonald Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Can someone help? Wont let me add pictures??? Bronze coin / medal ... 'in commemoration of laying the first stone of the new royal exchange by HRH Prince Albert 17th January 1842 in the fifth year of her reign' Anyone know anything? Is it worth anything? Thanks Quote
bagerap Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 There are quite a few varieties from 7 mm up to 55 mm diameter. Size and weight are going to be a great help whiile you figure out the pictures Quote
Shannara McDonald Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Thanks for the response. It's bigger than 5cm I would say . Initially I would say about 7cm? Won't add pics because file size 'too big' even though they are phone pics Quote

Won't add pics because file size 'too big' even though they are phone pics You need to reduce the size of photo to less than 500Mb. I normally use Paint to open photo on my PC. Then select "resize" and chose "Pixels". Reducing the pixels number to about 400 in one of the dimension should do the trick. You photo will then be less than 500Mb. Quote
Shannara McDonald Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Thank you! But I'm on my iPhone Quote
Shannara McDonald Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Hi all. see pic attached Quote
bagerap Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 OK, you're doing well. I'm guessing that the other side of the medal is a bust of Prince Albert facing left. It's an interesting piece in that most of the medals were issued for the opening of the Exchange rather than the first stone. Even so, in this condition, the price tops out at around £15. Quote
