Descartes Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 I recently bought a commonwealth sixpence to add to my collection. On closer inspection it looks like the 'S' on 'US' is covering an old letter. Is this correct, or is it just me? any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Descartes Quote
Nordle11 Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Looks like it's just double-punched, seems to follow the same curves. Can you take a close-up of just the S? Quote

The coin is currently at my mother's and I won't be seeing it again until I return on Christmas Eve! Quote

It does look like another S under there, but having it in hand will probably yield better results. Quote
