I know the picture is terrible, I said so in the description

No idea. It stopped working before so I took it to pieces and reassembled it and now it scans in crappy quality. I'll just buy a new one instead methinks

Lucky I was sitting down when I followed that link!

If I wasn't so polite I'd say really rude words at this point.

Nine hundred and ninety nine pounds is he serious? Having looked through his feedback, he doesn't seem to have much experience with coins!

Some overdates you cannot spot unless you magfify x10 so although highly unlikely, it cannot be ruled out.

More than likely if there is anything there, it'll be where one die blow failed to register with the other and caused an 8 with two bottom circles, or something like that.

Nobody would care because an overdate in that grade isn't worth £999!

I see no overdate either, and nor do I see any mention of one in standard reference books. As for the price, I'm convinced it's an unretracted typo and the seller actually meant to put £9.99 (and even that's pushing it for a coin in that condition).

I don't think it's a typo, cos it says £999.00 It might have been a typo if it had said just £999, but sadly, I think this is serious

It automatically fills in the decimal places regardless if you fill them or not

Either Oli's right or some idiot thinks a coin in Fair condition is worth taking out a second morgage on!

I think that coin is even pushing it for fair, looks almost poor...
