It looks like the picture of the coin sold on London Coins in auction 180 5/3/2023
Yes, you're right, it's the LCA picture of my coin - strange how different photos of the same coin can be so different at first glance.

Here's a definite Vigtoria.
Out of interest, may I ask where this picture came from ?

Does this apply to this type?
You can't really compare this with the 1877 F90 which is one of the truly most sought after rarities in the bronze penny range, instantly recognisable and a true "variety", whereas the BP1860Jb is more of a "novelty" variety without being disrespectful to it. I suspect that not many people look for it, but it is interesting and congratulations for finding another example.

Thanks Terry - I'll add it to the site.

Its example 11 on your list Richard.
I don't think so. Terry - that's my own coin and it's not the one featured here.

Do I have this one on my website ?
-
It's not PFENNY - it's PFNNY
-
I was going to say that it's fine on my PC but then it took around 20 seconds to come up.
-
Definitely not an H - as in all your pictures of the 1875H, the H is below the 7 and 5 whereas on your coin, the shadowy "H" is higher.

I would say it's an F82. The figure 5 is more upright on the 1875H.

Did Michael write a book which covers only Penny types and die pairings.
Yes, "The British Bronze Penny 1860 to 1970", but it's out of print (it's another A4 ring binder).
-
It's not really a paperback - it's A4 pages held in a ring binder.

I seem to recall that it's out of print. Message Chris Perkins to check.

I have added the F90 to my website - let me know if you would like a personal attribution.

And the moron even advertises it as Queen Victoria !

Wonderful find - I've added it to my website. Let me know if you would like personal attribution.
Regarding grade, I view the grade of a coin to be reflective of the amount of natural wear/circulation; any further damage should be included as a qualifier.

Yes, buy it if you like it but, in my opinion, there's nothing really to get excited about.

As Ian says, this is the result of a die clash and definitely NOT a "distinct ribbon knot".
Some people may find it collectable, but it is not, in my view, an intentional or accidental man-made "variety".
I have an example myself but I haven't even bothered to distinguish it from a "normal" 1859 large date penny.

Yes, the legend spacing is quite different between pennies and halfpennies.
See my websites below for pictures.
