  1. I found a small piece about them on here http://www.predecimal.com/forged/georgeiiip2.htm or it could be a rare Machin Mills type

  6. Welcome relax I picked up 11 at the weekend (low grade) of which 2 had die numbers which are not shown on Tony Clayton's page below www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/dieno.html just a matter of time before it becomes "fashionable" to collect a die number series ( do not know if I will be around for it though )

  17. Got this as part of a job lot, a few questions 1) Please confirm small date variety 2) Are die cracks collectible here or looked on as imperfections ? 3) What grade would you give it (ignoring the rim ding I would go with AEF but would like confirmation or correction, please be as brutal as possible I am quite thick skinned and only hold a grudge for 30 years ) Thanks
  18. There was a chap called Thomas Burgon who used to be a merchant but ended up in the British Museum coin department, he left his collection to the museum. Part of the collection appears to be lots of weights (go to the images section on the page below), perhaps it was his ? www.ashmolean.org/ash/amulets/burgonarchive/burgon.html
