  1. Perhaps you could put the link in your 'About Me' section?
  2. This might explain it! eBay***5p Listing day on Thursday 24th February 2005***
  3. Just noticed the time of the post, Coppers! Couldn't sleep or up early? Andy, I suppose it would have been early had I been posting my message from the UK. Ahhhh, just checked your profile and it all makes sense now! Cheers Andy

  5. Unfortunately, it looks like the 2000 edition of CoinCraft will the be last. I heard that they have stopped publishing the 2000 edition and there are little or no plans for future editions. It's a real shame as it's a great book - one of my favourites in fact.
  6. Yep - well done, Alex!
  7. The Midland one is the only one I know of around that area. There used to be one Luton-way but that stopped a while back. There may be others mentioned in Coin News magazine or one of the other forum members might know.....
  8. Hi Alex - coming along nicely. Well done - not bad for a few hours work!

    Coin Fairs

Hi Peter - the London Coin Fair is on 3 times a year. 2 more coming up this year - as you rightly say, 11th June, followed by 5th November. Hope to meet up with you at one of them. (I believe Chris will also be standing at both.....)
  10. I meant Geoff T when I said Geordie! Apologies Geoff! (Too many G's!!! )
  11. Welcome to coin collecting, Alex - I'm sure you'll thoroughly enjoy it!
  12. Yep, Syl - I think he does advertise in CN. Nice chap - dealt with him a few times. HPJ - I honestly don't know. He doesn't appear to be that well known in circles up North so I will find out more at the London Coin Fair next Saturday no doubt. Will let you know. Cheers Andy
  13. Just got back from the Wakefield Fair (good seeing you again, Geordie - bit busy so no chance for a chat - maybe next time?) Picked up a few more details....more serious than we thought as it was infact an armed robbery Dealer = Mark Davidson The case no is CN 380 2736 - 05 And if anyone has any info, then please speak to DS Bob Gould on either: 020 8768 1212 or 020 8649 1217 Cheers Andy
  14. Thanks for posting on CC's site, Oli. Syl's offered to post messages elsewhere. The coins belonged to a Dealer, but I don't have any more information other than what I've posted here. If I hear anything more, I'll add to this thread. Cheers Andy
  15. No problem, Chris. The more people that know about it the better. Might help to unearth some info on these and the robbers. I've put a note on a couple more of the forums I know of but if anyone else knows of any more then feel free to put a message on those ones too. (Maybe Syl or Oli can assist?) Thanks Andy

  18. Hello again, Jimmy! I spoke to the organisers a couple of weeks back about the Harrogate show and unfortunately it doesn't look like it's taking place this year. However, as GeoffT mentioned, the Wakefield fair is on this coming Sunday and is held the last Sunday in every month. The other main fair 'oop Norf' is held at York and is twice-yearly (January and July - next one is on 29th & 30th July) Cheers Andy
  19. Thanks Jimmy / Oli! Bow taken! Cheers Andy
  20. No problem, Oli. If you should decide to go for it then the ordering process is fairly simple. Give me a shout if you need a hand. Or ask either Peter or Sylvester - I'm glad to say that they've both had lots of practice!
  21. Hi Oli - only just noticed this thread! Have you had any more thoughts on the 1902 set? Or are you looking for something else at the moment?
  22. And, may I add, a very quick response time.
  23. Maybe it's cos you've got the same Avatar on both sites, Unk!!
  24. Excellent! You'll have to pop by and introduce yourself properly! No doubt we've already spoken at Wakefield but it's just one of those things..... Happy New Year everyone!
  25. Hi Unk - are you the Unk I've given my winnings to (from Tiffi)?
