    How did I miss this? I just saw in another part of the forum the link to this list... now I have to compare the list with what I already have at home! ARG! I need more money!     Hi Berg, welcome! If you want to start collecting British coins, you must get a Collectors' Coins Great Britain 2005 though, it is the perfect book for anyone that wants to get into British coins and it's author is our very own Chris.

    Now they are visible.... it must be the first die crack I have seen in an English coin. I may have had some in my hands, I will never know, but never seen it before.

    What are you trying to do with your new site? Isn't UK coins covered already by Predecimal? And about the forums... what is wrong with this forums? I am just trying to understand what you want to do, my intention is not to nock it down at all.

    Depending in the price I will be interested in some of them. I will as well be interested in the book, as I am into both coins and notes... I think that helping you with this would be a good learing experience for me, but I think that we can talk about this by email or even by phone. Drop me a line some time.

    Unfortunately, it looks like the 2000 edition of CoinCraft will the be last. I heard that they have stopped publishing the 2000 edition and there are little or no plans for future editions. It's a real shame as it's a great book - one of my favourites in fact. It may be a good time for our Chris to look at the possibility of continuing with it...

    Never used Ebay, and I have no plans to use it anytime soon to buy. I am thinking of using it for sell things, but I am not sure I will. I have heard to many bad things happening on it from someone that works for Ebay investigating dodgy deals.

    Well, I have around 150 different bank notes and around 1600-2000 coins. I collect anything that I can afford and I don't have already. But latetely I am considering my options as it is becoming too big.

    Something that I don't seem to get is, what does the royal family or British history have to do with Somalia? Probably they paid a goverment official to give them the permit to put Somalia in the "coins", I want to see someone trying to spend those, so call, coins, in Somalia... Another thing, if you are going to charge £60 for a piece of gold, please make it better than 9 ct!

    Well, from the typical user with several usernames that bid on his own items to get a better price (I know you don't do that), to many others that I preffer not going into now. If I had account I would certainly bid on the silver lots... but without an account... no can do... In any case I would probably not get them, as I am sure there are others with much deeper pockets than mine that would want them.
