  1. Canada mint = C, India mint = I, South Africa mint = SA, Melborne mint (austrailia) = M, Perth mint (austrailia) = P, Sydney mint (austrailia) = S. British mint has no mint mark, the mint marks are usually found above the date.
  2. oh right...i hate enamled coins
  3. stop contradicting me ...its anoying
  4. well, i dont look for them...the only single ones that i have seen have been from the 1700's (600th post )
  5. hmm, the reason i do not like them is because most enamled coins are from the 1700's (or atleast most enameled coins on eBay are from the 1700's), and i think it is a big waste...
  6. Thanks Geoff. i have tried to take pictures of it before, but as the medal is dented the quality was not very good...i will try though
  7. yes, what a waste...
  8. i hate enamled coines
  9. ages ago you were onabout getting a 2+A farthing...colin cooke is selling theese: 1953 (2 + A). EF, very rare. £8.50 -- -- . Unc lustre, very rare. £30.00 click here just thought it may interest you...
  10. come to think of it, it does look toothed on both sides i wonder why no one has bid
  11. hehe, exactly what i thought
  12. hehehe...that one's funny
  13. i think that £22 was a bit much for the 1924 one, the 1936 one was a good buy, and i think that the 1934 one was your best one bought...just my opinion though
  14. ooh, sounds like fun...when will this be?...(june, july, august etc...)
  15. i have a jordainian one quish from 1997, on the reverse it says; The Hashemire Kingdom Of Jordan 1317 - 1997, the 3 in '1317' is backwards, and i was wondering if this is a commemorative piece or a normal jordainian one quish?
  16. oh, maybe i have seen one then, that description rings a bell to me... sorry to go off-topic a bit but; does st. helena have its own coinage?
  17. well, i dont really need to consider variety with it, i have no 1806 pennies yet ... ooh, i would love the coin that is featured in a coin book ...it could make people envious over my collection ... will you be using the 1860 proof pennies on colins site chris?
  18. hmm, gibraltan pounds...are they like the normal english ones?...i have not seen one... nice to see that you delited thoose posts chris
  19. ooh, you have to use the 1806 no incuse curls penny of his (or with incuse, cant remember) ...and thanks to colin
  20. I have a 1902 and a 1937 coronation medal...; Edward VII 1902 Strange this one, never seen one like it; Obv. says: 'Edward VII Queen Alexandra' around Edward's and Alexandra's heads. Rev. says: (what looks like) 'Cop Coronations 1902' in center, (worn and hard to read-) 'Ted Tion Droit', (around right edge -) 'God save the king' and with a wreath of 19 leaves going up the left edge. Looks silver, same size as a crown. George VI MCMXXXVII (1937) Second one needing identification; Obv. says: 'George VI Elizabeth Crowned May XII' around George's and Elizabeth's heads. Rev. says: 'Canada India Africa Australia New Zeeland Britain' around edge, with a picture of a man/woman holding a Crown with a bird above the crown holding a wreath of 4 leaves. Looks bronze, with a gold colour, about the same size of a modern two pence coin.
  21. The 1902 coronation proof set contained no bronze coinage, only gold, silver and maundy money. There is no bronze either in the sets of 1911 and 1927, although George V pennies exist in proofs from 1926-36 with the exception of 1933. There are reputedly proofs in existence for all the George VI pennies; the commonest are from the 1950 and 1951 sets. 1953 certainly. Not sure precisely which ones exist in proofs 1961-67, but don't forget the 1970 from the sets. ok, thanks geoff...
  22. oh, that...me and oli dealt with that above
  23. ...i cannot see it in my profile
  24. exept the 1937 and 1953...thanks
