    Craig, you say you have an 1882 penny? Have a look closely at it, and if it has a tiny 'H' where the arrow is pointing to in the picture below, then you have a normal one. If your penny does not have an 'H' where that arrow is, then you have an extremely rare coin! Be careful to make sure that the 'H' has not worn away with lots of use though...

    Well I don't have a clue what that is. I have a 1971 two pence from Jersey, on the reverse it has the legend BAILIWICK OF JERSEY, and below that in the centre of the coin it has a shield with the three English lions in it, and below that another legend reads TWO NEW PENCE 1971. On the reverse the legend is QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND, and it has the Machin (!!! ) portrait of Elizabeth. I can even attach a pic if necessary. So I don't think this is from Jersey...

    Shorthand looks nasty! I wouldn't want to learn it! If a shorthand dictionary was made, what sort of order would it be in...it would take hours to look for a single word, sorry squiggle, and the whole point of shorthand would be wrecked!
