    New 2 Pence

Good, I've been wondering what it meant for ages!
  2. No, I don't think there can be an uglier coin than that sixpence...
  3. Yes, it was only the George V ones which had the H to the left of the date...
  4. Whatever you do, don't look at the dipped sixpence...!

    New 2 Pence

Ah, so it is about the same as AUNC or GEF!

What is 'XF', is it the same as EF?
  7. Ok you are right, stuff the picture then, even though it is a 1933 and all. Here is my latest invention! vvvv
  8. Yep, that's definITEly been cleaned, but I would say it's worth it for £76

It could be Guernsey I suppose, but I don't know for sure as I don't have one!

  11. Craig, you say you have an 1882 penny? Have a look closely at it, and if it has a tiny 'H' where the arrow is pointing to in the picture below, then you have a normal one. If your penny does not have an 'H' where that arrow is, then you have an extremely rare coin! Be careful to make sure that the 'H' has not worn away with lots of use though...
  12. Yep, I don't have anything against them either, but if like Cecil they start dissing our hobby and spamming this forum then they do get on my nerves!

    New 2 Pence

Well I don't have a clue what that is. I have a 1971 two pence from Jersey, on the reverse it has the legend BAILIWICK OF JERSEY, and below that in the centre of the coin it has a shield with the three English lions in it, and below that another legend reads TWO NEW PENCE 1971. On the reverse the legend is QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND, and it has the Machin (!!! ) portrait of Elizabeth. I can even attach a pic if necessary. So I don't think this is from Jersey...

    Why 'Cooking fat'?!
  15. did i not just say that in my previous post? Oh yes, I see it now...sorry!
  16. Ok, it wouldn't beat that sixpence of yours, but it could probably beat this Barber!
  17. But what if you put a really silly bid on and accidentally win it when you're trying to make other people pay more for it, then you'd be sorry!
  18. Shorthand looks nasty! I wouldn't want to learn it! If a shorthand dictionary was made, what sort of order would it be in...it would take hours to look for a single word, sorry squiggle, and the whole point of shorthand would be wrecked!
  19. I hope Chris edits Cecils above post like he did to another TRAINSPOTTER from the Hackney Crew. That would be funny...
  20. Are you Craig? What's this Cecil guy like then, he sounds like a self centered snob
  21. Is anyone else on here a trainspotter?
  22. I would enter it in the Ugly Coin Competition on Coinpeople!
  23. I am right handed. What is short hand?
