Hi all,
Just a post to show one of my latest pickups from the LCF on Saturday.
A rather nice Burgred (King of Mercia 852-874) lunettes-type penny. Obv: bvrgred rex, Rev. mon cenred eta. London mint, monyer Coenræd. Brought it for the quality of the obverse portrait of the King, reverse seems to have some kind of die flaw crack, is not on the obverse and the coin is still very stable which would potentially point to that being the cause rather than something more sinister.
All in all a lovely coin, my pictures really don't do it justice. Did anyone else have any luck at the fair?
All the best,
Cameron
PS Apologies for the rotation, can't seem to figure out how to turn them around...
