2011 10p double planchet fault

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

I'm new to the forum so please excuse me if this topic has been posted many times before.

I found this 2011 ten pence piece in my loose change with a double planchet clip.

My question is are these a common fault in modern coinage and is it worth holding on to?

Many thanks

Stu

Novelty value only I'm afraid. A slight premium to 10p, but not a lot.

Generally speaking they have to be spectacular clips to be desirable as minor clipping occurs too frequently.
