Stuff to Make Us Laugh

*American journalist goes to Afghanistan in 2000. Everywhere he goes he sees men walking ten feet in front of women. He asks an Afghani guy about it, the guy responds, "this is our culture, where men are superior to women, and that is why they must walk behind us." Journalist shrugs and goes back to US. Five years later, in 2005, same journalist goes back to Afghanistan. Everywhere he goes he now sees women walking ten feet IN FRONT of men. Journalist gets really excited, goes to talk to an Afghani guy. "This is an amazing cultural shift, and step toward gender equality!" journalist says. "What prompted this change?" Afghani guy shrugs. I bought a mixed lot off ebay recently and amongst them was this little coin made by moore around 1849 presumably for export over the pond its in a small size and features a gothic head of victoria with a crown on and calafornia half dollar on the reverse not sure if this is listed in rogers butn I know there are other similar mules as I have one. I also inclue a picture of the regular large size half dollar that is much more common for reference. Hope someone with a copy of roger's book can help

Butt of the joke: Australian man suffers severe burns to his bottom and genitalia after firework party trick backfires By SARA MALM PUBLISHED: 09:51, 30 July 2012 | UPDATED: 10:04, 30 July 2012 15 View comments e-mail Top +99 Home Firecracker: The man placed the rocket between his cheeks and lit the fuse An Australian man has been hospitalised with severe burns after placing a firework between his buttocks in a party trick gone awry. The 23-year-old man was attending a party in a suburb to Darwin in the Northern Territory on Saturday, when he decided to brighten up the evening. The stunt, quite literally, backfired and the man was taken to local hospital with severe burns to his back, cheeks and genitalia. Police said alcohol was ’a possible factor’. ‘It appears a party was in full progress when a young male decided to place a firework between the cheeks of his bottom and light it,’ Senior Sergeant Garry Smith with Northern Territory Police said. ‘What must of seemed to be a great idea at the time has backfired, resulting in the male receiving quite severe and painful burns to his cheeks, back and private bits.’ When police arrived at the party in the suburb, ironically named Rapid Creek, the man was writhing in pain but was able to get to hospital without the aid of paramedics. AND HES FROM DARWIN! -

By backward the wrighter might have meant rural and not exposed to modern manufacturing processes. They did invent paper, money and porcelain and many many other things though , too many to list . -
Not nice to say, but it could be a china forgery artificially aged
-
They are more interested in something that sells well as it produces a nice profit for them - they are not interested what happens to the coins , if they are passed on as genuine etc

Ah that must be where marley bob gets her many many 1933 pennies along with the barely believable stories

All fakes like these coins being talked about on here turned the American market to slabbing ,I really hope it does not have the same effect here.....

By the way some of the coins mostly the gold and the bronze penny , halfpenny and farthing are in such good grade they are really stunning they must have been bought by a really serious collector. It must have been a wrench to sell them
