Sylvester Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 I can't remember what i paid for mine. Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted November 7, 2004 Author Posted November 7, 2004 I've racked my brain and stared at my proof halfpenny until my eyes were sore, and I have concluded that it is a bronzed proof Observe 1 Reverse B. I couldn't tell the difference between the two reverse varieties until I looked at the Nicholson ones. I don't know if it was ever in the proof set but I do know that there were more minted individually and given to VIP's. Quote
aleroit2000 Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Hi everyone! When will be the next coin fair in Lonon or near London? And where was exactly the last fair? Very far from Luton? (the airport where I can arrive...).In the first months of 2005 there will be the direct fly between Parma and Luton and it would be great for me have a weekend in London in the same period of a coin fair.... byeAlex Quote
Master Jmd Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Hi everyone! When will be the next coin fair in Lonon or near London? Yes, when is the next London coin fair? Quote

Andy Bruce Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Chris Perkins Posted on Nov 11 2004, 02:04 PM-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And you Andy, and welcome in here. Thanks Chris - let's see how long before I'm no longer a Newbie! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I can't remember how many posts you have to make, I think it's only 10. Of course, it means Newbie in here, not in coins. Quote
Andy Bruce Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 That's good to hear, Chris. 10 - I think I can just about manage that! BTW - will you be at the York Fair in Jan? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I'll probably be stuck indoors in January. I cannot commit to much during Jan-March as the weather gets severe here and I cannot guarantee leaving the street, let alone get to an airport. We already have a good 3 inch snow covering here in the Erzgebirge region (where I am). It's about that time when the TR7 has to be put into hibernation. Quote
Andy Bruce Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Fair enough! The 2-day fair at Harrogate should be on in the Spring - so maybe see you there. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I must admit to being a bit of a Southerncentric, in that I have not yet bothered to travel outside of London to a coin fair Nothing against the Northen collectors (in fact most of this forum are Northerers I think, and probably more than 50% of my customers too, going by the addresses I send things too).I suppose I'm turned off my the extra fees for accomodation and the looong drive. Perhaps you could sing the praises. Quote
