Sylvester Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 By it's quiet on here lately, and on quite a few other sites now i come to think of it... it's getting eerie. Was that a tumble weed? Quote
Master Jmd Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 probably because school kids have gone back a few weeks ago after taking holidays etc...And yes, i think that i saw that tumble weed too Quote
Emperor Oli Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I've also noticed this. About a week ago I logged on and there were no posts at six o'clock! With the winter months drawing ever closer, I'm sure the post counts shall rise exponentially Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 (edited) I think that we need a numismatic topic that really racks everyones brains. The winter will definately bring a few posts in. Edit: I have also noticed that William is very quiet, he might be on holiday? Edited September 20, 2004 by Half Penny Jon Quote
Master Jmd Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Edit: I have also noticed that William is very quiet, he might be on holiday? hmm...holiday, at this time of the year?...especially for school... Quote
Sylvester Posted September 20, 2004 Author Posted September 20, 2004 That's what i thought, holiday season has just finished! Quote
Sylvester Posted September 20, 2004 Author Posted September 20, 2004 i had thought that, it happens to me from time to time. Quote
Master Jmd Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 Maybe his internet is down? yea, that probably is the case... Quote
Geoff T Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 The winter will definately bring a few posts in. Does nobody ever read my signature? G. Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted September 21, 2004 Posted September 21, 2004 i had thought that, it happens to me from time to time. My internet was down thursday and friday last week due to a virus. I had to post through my school computers! Quote
Chris Perkins Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 yes, so where the bloody hell is William then?? Quote
Emperor Oli Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Could be in a ditch for all I know Quote
Master Jmd Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 (edited) Could be in a ditch for all I knowIm sure he's ok...maybe his parents told him to concentrate more on school and leave coinage for the holidays (as he has only just passed his 11+ and in a new school) ...But who knows? Edited September 26, 2004 by Master Jmd Quote
Chris Perkins Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 You don't get any homework when you start secondary school, it's just peanuting and bogwashes until you settled it isn't it? Quote
Emperor Oli Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Correct, whatever peanuting is. Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 I doubt he would have been told that JMD, maybe he just cannot access the internet at the moment for some reason? Quote
Chris Perkins Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Correct, whatever peanuting is. It's when the older boys make your tie so tight that the knot is peanut sized! Quote
Sylvester Posted September 26, 2004 Author Posted September 26, 2004 We never had ties, but then again we didn't have uniforms till Y10... and still no tie even when we did thank god, i don't like ties. Quote
Chris Perkins Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 They don't have uniforms at all in Germany, which looks really strange to me, especially the girls. At least when they're in school uniform you know you shouldn't really be looking...Here, there are no age clues! Quote

I know what you mean, School uniform doesn't help on saturdays though does it?Some look so much older than they are, it's they way they dress, my mate once fell for that, started chatting a lass up who he thought was about 17 she was well, 14. Master Jmd Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Correct, whatever peanuting is.It's when the older boys make your tie so tight that the knot is peanut sized! Well...thats a new turm for it...I got tons of Hwk if i can remember starting year 7... Quote
Half Penny Jon Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Correct, whatever peanuting is.It's when the older boys make your tie so tight that the knot is peanut sized! Well...thats a new turm for it... It's an old term in our school, particularly popular with the lower years. When students mature in years 10 and 11 (my year) it is rather unfashonable to 'peanut' someone. Quote
Master Jmd Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 well, ive never heard it ..."When students mature in years 10 and 11 (my year) it is rather unfashonable to 'peanut' someone"Yes, but there are many immature students in my year 10 ... Quote
Geoff T Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Edit: I have also noticed that William is very quiet, he might be on holiday? William is down as returning to the Junior dept. of the college where I work this year and I shall probably see him when I'm next there on a Saturday, which is 9 October. I'll let you know if there's any earlier news of him.I'm sure he's OK. He's just started secondary school so homework is probably hitting him big style.Geoff Quote
