By it's quiet on here lately, and on quite a few other sites now i come to think of it... it's getting eerie. :o

Was that a tumble weed?

Posted

probably because school kids have gone back a few weeks ago after taking holidays etc...

And yes, i think that i saw that tumble weed too :P

I've also noticed this. About a week ago I logged on and there were no posts at six o'clock! With the winter months drawing ever closer, I'm sure the post counts shall rise exponentially ;)

I think that we need a numismatic topic that really racks everyones brains. The winter will definately bring a few posts in.

Edit: I have also noticed that William is very quiet, he might be on holiday?

i had thought that, it happens to me from time to time.

My internet was down thursday and friday last week due to a virus. I had to post through my school computers! :D

yes, so where the bloody hell is William then??

Posted (edited)
Could be in a ditch for all I know

Im sure he's ok...maybe his parents told him to concentrate more on school and leave coinage for the holidays (as he has only just passed his 11+ and in a new school) :)

...But who knows?

You don't get any homework when you start secondary school, it's just peanuting and bogwashes until you settled it isn't it?

Posted
Correct, whatever peanuting is.

It's when the older boys make your tie so tight that the knot is peanut sized!

Posted

We never had ties, but then again we didn't have uniforms till Y10... and still no tie even when we did thank god, i don't like ties.

Posted

They don't have uniforms at all in Germany, which looks really strange to me, especially the girls. At least when they're in school uniform you know you shouldn't really be looking...Here, there are no age clues!

I know what you mean, School uniform doesn't help on saturdays though does it?

Some look so much older than they are, it's they way they dress, my mate once fell for that, started chatting a lass up who he thought was about 17 she was well, 14.

It's an old term in our school, particularly popular with the lower years. When students mature in years 10 and 11 (my year) it is rather unfashonable to 'peanut' someone.

well, ive never heard it :) ...

Yes, but there are many immature students in my year 10 :( ...

William is down as returning to the Junior dept. of the college where I work this year and I shall probably see him when I'm next there on a Saturday, which is 9 October. I'll let you know if there's any earlier news of him.

I'm sure he's OK. He's just started secondary school so homework is probably hitting him big style.
